WORKSHOP FOR SCHOOLS
High-energy dance workshops designed to meet Daily Physical Activity requirements while exposing students to a mix of world dance styles (Hip Hop, African, Tango, Bollywood etc.) in an interACTIVE class style. Our most popular workshop – perfect for students K – Grade 12!
DANCEPL3Y School workshops that put into action Teaching Dance for Understanding so that students can discover a wide variety of dance styles and apply critical and creative thinking skills as they create their own dance combos and sequences. Residencies are four- or five-sessions in length, and teachers are provided with assessment tools for each province or state’s Physical Education and Dance curriculum. Enhanced Residencies are also available, which offer a teacher mentorship approach to the dance unit, as well as classroom extension lesson plans, videos and resources for DPA.
An evening or daytime event taught by a Certified DANCEPL3Y School Program Instructor, designed to get families and students active together and/or to showcase the dances created during the Residency program.
